Overview

Powerlong Tianjin is a key development in the reinvention of one of the biggest industrial and port cities in China into an exciting urban lifestyle destination.

The redevelopment of the new Binhai Tourism Area will see a gradual increase in visitors to the area by approximately 3 million per year. Powerlong Tianjin is the first true entertainment and leisure offering in the region, designed as a magnet for tourism and establishing the high quality and tone for similar developments in the future.

Inspired by Tianjin’s maritime character and history, the design of Powerlong Tianjin creates a built environment that resonates with its community in a meaningful way providing visitors with an authentic sense of place.

Rippled wave forms, sandy beaches and navigational motifs feature throughout, lending the development its distinctive identity and encouraging visitors to connect with its story.

Theme Street – the Level 3 food street – is a meeting place offering an eclectic fusion of global, ethnic and local influences, featuring textured natural materials layered and interwoven with one another.

Digital technology is integrated into the visitor experience, with digital and kinetic sculptures, interactive spaces, digital light exhibits, and feature LED floor lighting offering moments of delight and intrigue provides visitors with a sense of exploration and discovery as the city itself is transformed.
