Buchan has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with The Cohen Group, having delivered the last major stage of development at Burnside Village and most recently developed the masterplan for the next stages (Stages 6 and 7). Guided by three years of research and consultation with local stakeholders including shoppers, retailers and community leaders, the masterplan is a thoughtful mix of aspirational design grounded by local needs.
Buchan is providing full Architectural Design, Interior Design and Delivery for the current major stage of development at Burnside Village, Stage 6. This latest Stage will further enhance the ambience and retail offer at Burnside Village, doubling the Centre’s fashion footprint and delivering a new level of dining experience to create a world-class shopping destination.
Creating an upmarket urban village feel, the new design Stage complements the existing mall aesthetics through carefully considered design and materials, with a distinctive, landscaped dining precinct boasting family and ‘first to market’ restaurants, cafes and entertainment in a unique streetscape setting. An additional on-site health, and wellness precinct offering space for medical suites and spa facilities will cement Burnside Village’s position as a leading lifestyle precinct.
The interior design of the Centre is focused around encouraging the unique character of the retailers, F&B tenants and curated event spaces to boldly flourish. Set against a neutral backdrop featuring raw materials and clean, simple geometry, the interior design is equally impactful during both day and night.
