Chadstone Shopping Centre CHADSTONE, VIC
Stage 20 of Melbourne's Chadstone Shopping Centre comprises a dramatic, curving retail galleria linking the Myer and David Jones department stores. The space is dominated by a continuous wave of glass which floods the interior with natural light. The curving exterior façade is complemented by landscaping and makes a landmark statement along the Princes Highway frontage.
The development was a collaborative effort between The Buchan Group and RTKL Los Angeles, and opened in December 1999. Chadstone has since consistently rated as Australia's top performing shopping centre.
